Ranchi, Nov 29: Vishal Choudhary, who is linked to politicians and bureaucrats, has sought two weeks from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to appear for questioning.
The development took place after ED called Vishal Choudhary for questioning on November 28 after he was stopped by immigration officials at the Delhi airport on November 24 on his way to Thailand. The immigration officials took the step after taking note of the lookout notice ED had issued anticipating Choudhary’s plan to leave India.
ED sources informed the development saying Choudhary’s request has not yet been considered so far and there is every possibility that he will be sent a second summon.
During the investigation of the MNREGA scam, raids were conducted at Choudhary’s Ranchi and Muzaffarpur locations. The raids were conducted at his locations in Damodarpur, Muzaffarpur.
Apart from this, raids were also conducted at his residence in Ranchi’s Ashok Nagar. Documents supporting his involvement were recovered from his possession. The ED had let him off after preliminary questioning in this regard. Along with this, instructions were given to come later on being called.
