Ranchi: With the increasing concerns of water scarcity during summer, the Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) has taken proactive measures to ensure a smooth water supply. The corporation has set up a control room for addressing water-related grievances and has introduced toll-free helpline numbers 18005701235 and 9431104429 for residents to register complaints.

Efforts to Maintain Uninterrupted Water Supply

According to the RMC, the city currently has 2,508 hand pumps, 1,674 mini HYDT, and 174 HYDTW units in operation. Special teams have been deployed for regular inspection and maintenance of these water sources. These teams, working under the supervision of junior and assistant engineers, will ensure that any malfunction is resolved swiftly.

Free Tanker Water Supply at 65 Locations

To mitigate the impact of the water crisis in severely affected areas, the corporation has arranged free water tankers at 65 locations across the city. This initiative aims to provide relief to areas experiencing acute shortages.

Appeal for Sensible Water Usage

The municipal corporation has urged citizens to use water judiciously to prevent any further crisis. Residents facing issues related to water supply are encouraged to promptly report them via the helpline numbers to ensure timely solutions.
