Ranchi: National Voters’ Day celebrated at St. Xavier’s College to educate young voters

Ranchi, Jan 25: The Electoral Literacy Club of St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi, in collaboration with IQAC and Circle Officer’s Office, Sadar, Ranchi organised Prabhat Pheri and Nukkad Natak to educate young voters on the occasion of 13th National Voters’ Day, 2023. 

The objective of the event was to create awareness among eligible youth to cast their vote and encourage them to actively participate in the voting process.

In the presence of Dr Father Robert Pradeep Kujur and Dr Father Ajay Minj, Vice-Principal of the college, Prabhat Pheri was flagged off at 7 AM. It was organised under the direction of Electoral Literacy Club President Prof BK Sinha and Nodal Officer Dr Ashutosh Pandey. 

The Prabhat Pheri started from College Campus, Purlia Road to Dangartoli Chowk and returned to College Campus. 

Around 400 students including the campus ambassadors of the college Ajay Kumar and Prakriti Krishna Lakda were present in Prabhat Pheri. 

At the conclusion, the students were addressed by Vice Principal Fr. Ajay Minj and Prof.BK. The street play was staged by a total of 11 students under the leadership of Ronit and Ayush Aryan.
