Ranchi, Feb.26: The NIA court rejected the bail application of terror fund accused Mahesh Agrawal.

The development took place after the court pronounced judgement reserved in the bail application Agrawal had filed after he was arrested and sent to Birsa Munda Central Jail.

Managing director of Adhunik Power and Natural Resources Private Limited Agrawal was arrested on January 18 from his Salt Lake, Kolkata residence after the Jharkhand High Court denied giving him anticipatory bail.

The case arose after it came into the knowledge that work of excavation and transportation of coal is being carried out in Jharkhand with the connivance of extremists funded by businessmen.
