Ranchi, July 2: A person has been killed by being crushed by a stone. This incident took place late Saturday night near Pahar Toli of Sukhdev Nagar police station area where unknown criminals killed a person by smashing with stone.
The local people informed the police on Saturday night. The incident was reported to the police after 12 midnight. People told the police that a dead body was lying near the Pahar Toli pond. After getting the information, the police reached the spot and took possession of the dead body and started an investigation.
At present the identity of the deceased has not been ascertained. In this case, it is feared that there was a mutual dispute over drinking and the murder took place. Police are trying to identify the deceased from the people around.
