Ranchi, Sept 23: Ranchi Police have arrested absconding criminal Krishna Mohan Jha and his associate Mukesh Kumar from their ancestral residence in the Muzaffarpur district of Bihar. The police were working under the supervision of SSP Surendra Kumar Jha.
Krishna, who has been serving a life sentence for kidnapping and murder, had escaped from the ICU ward of RIMS. Taking quick action, in the case, the SSP had suspended three policemen with immediate effect on charge of negligence in work.
Prisoner Krishna was admitted to the ward of Dr CB Sharma of RIMS. He had been arrested and imprisoned in Birsa Munda Central Jail Hotwar about five years ago. He is originally a resident of Bathna Pariah of Kurhani police station area, Muzaffarpur, Bihar.
He was admitted to RIMS for treatment 27 days ago after he complained of a liver infection. He had appealed to the government and the court to save his life. Taking advantage of the negligence of the policemen deployed in security during treatment, he managed to escape from RIMS on the morning of September 19.
