Ranchi, Jan 9: An army jawan got into trouble after opening fire due to a disagreement with his tenant about opening the door. The jawan was apprehended by police and taken into judicial custody.
The incident occurred in Khokhma Toli, which is under the jurisdiction of the Airport Police Station in the heart of Jharkhand’s capital, between the nights of Sunday and Monday.
A police officer told this, detailing the facts that led to the incident.
“Tenant Harilal Yadav nicknamed Bably Babu was frequently late coming home from work. Even on Sunday, he arrived home late. This was strongly opposed by the army. He warned that the next time he came late at night, he would not open the door. On this, the renter requested a separate key. A disagreement ensued on the subject. The situation became so tense that the jawan shot a licensed firearm at the renter. The bullet struck the renter in the leg. After receiving information about the event, officers from the Airport Police Station arrived on the scene and apprehended the accused jawan. At the same time, the police have also seized the pistol used in the incident,” the police official said.
