Ranchi Police arrest informant for lodging false case

Ranchi, Nov.9: Police arrested three for implicating an innocent person in a criminal case by keeping explosives at his house at Jamgai, a village under Tupudana outpost of Dhurwa police station.

 

Those arrested included Mohammed Sharif, Mohammed Jai-ul and Birsa. They had kept 50 pieces of Gelatine sticks with 50 pieces of detonator at the residence of Rohit Tiru, a well-qualified student, two days ago and informed the police.

 

The Officer-in-charge of Dhurwa police station, Praveen Kumar, confirmed the arrest saying ‘it is a case in which informants were found accused after proper investigation.’

 

Asked OC Kumar what was the motive behind such action of the accused,” he said: “There was a land dispute.”

 

A police official said Rs 5 lakh was recovered from the possession of Birsa.

 

Other than OC Kumar the team which made breakthroughs include Tupudana outpost in-charge Kanhaiya Singh and sub-inspector Krishna Kumar besides other police personnel.
