Ranchi police book Urdu teacher for assaulting juvenile

Ranchi, July 12:  The Ranchi Police has booked an Urdu teacher, Maulana Mohammed, for assaulting a 11-yr-old child while the latter was playing football. He is associated with Madarasa Hussainia in Kadru.

 

The FIR was registered two days back at Argora police station on the information of the victim’s mother Roshan Ara, a police official informed today.

 

Officer-in-charge of Argora police station, Vinod Kumar, confirmed the legal action saying that the Maulana was angry as the boy was making hue and cry while playing football in the Madarasa campus.

 

The lady in her FIR accused Maulana of brutally beating her minor child with a stick in the evening on July 6.  According to her, due to assault, her minor son sustained injuries at his back and leg.

 

The police registered an FIR under sections 341 (wrongful restraint), 342 (wrongful confinement) and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) of IPC.
