Ranchi, July 8: Police today recovered the body of a burnt female body appearing in her 20s with its head smashed from an under construction house under Narkopi police station of the district.

The recovery took place after attention of a section of youths on way to a hillock close to Chatti Road Math got diverted after smelling foul and they reached the place from where foul smell was coming.  A youth noticed the body and informed the local police with the help of a journalist.

S.P.(rural) Naushad Alam confirmed the recovery saying the body has not been identified so far. “As the place is close to Bharno and Bhandra police station of Gumla district police officials from that district have also reached the spot for investigation. We are trying to identify the body collecting details of the missing girl regarding which any FIR has been registered at any police station,” Alam said while confirming the late evening recovery.

From the spot, the police recovered an empty bottle of liquor and petrol. The body was sent for autopsy at RIMS.
