Ranchi: Raid on illegal sand lifting, 11 Hyvas confiscated

Ranchi: The police administration has confiscated 11 Hyva Trucks in response to unlawful sand mining. According to the secret information acquired on late Monday night, raids were carried out in Dhurwa, Kharsidag, and Namkum police station areas. During the raid, two hyvas (JH01DH-2736,JH01EE-1489) carrying sand were caught from Dhurwa police station area, 4 hyvas (JH01ED 6524 , JH01DH-4638, JH03U 3514, JH01CK 9488) from Kharsidag OP area and 5 hyvas (JH01EF 9085, JH01AN 3034, JH01AJ9864, JH02H6743, JH12D7816) from Namkum police station area.

At present, order of the NGT is in force according to which lifting of sand from the rivers is closed from June 10 to October 15. All the vehicles can be operated only by challan from the stock ward. All the confiscated vehicles have been handed over to the respective police station for illegal transportation of sand without mining transport challan.
