Ranchi, June 27: In order to facilitate the traffic system in the city, it was planned that plastic bollards would be installed at various chowks and intersections. Ranchi Municipal Corporation and Traffic Police together installed plastic bollards at different intersections of the capital.

However, these bollards could not last even a month. Due to the negligence of the people, the bollards of most of the places have been uprooted, which have been reconciled and kept on the side of the road.

The bollards installed by the administration were also very weak. Now the administration will mark the drivers who damage the bollard through CCTV cameras. Action will be taken against them under rash driving and their driving license will be suspended for 3 months.

At present, 12 intersections of the city have been left free, where bollards were installed. The plastic dividers installed in most of these places have been broken and worn out. It has not even been a month since these bollards were installed.

The bollard was installed on June 6. Traffic control is done at these places by installing ropes. Plastic bollards were brought in to remove rope and iron barricading. But they are not able to last for long because their quality is not right.

The bollards installed at Lalpur Chowk have been cleared from one line. These have been stored nearby. A similar situation has happened in other places including Jail More, and Nucleus Mall.

Iron barricades have been installed at many intersections of the city, which is quite dangerous. Many times this barricading is not visible at night and accidents occur. Most of these barricades are rusted, which keeps getting damaged due to the grip of big vehicles.

Last week, a bike rider was injured after colliding with an iron barricading at Argora Chowk. However, now bollard has also been installed in Argora. But even here plastic dividers have been uprooted from many places.

The people of the city are also not aware. Many times people cross their vehicle by climbing on these bollards, due to which the bollard breaks. In view of all this, the traffic police are now in a mood to take action.
