Ranchi, Jan 4: A total of 250 additional health workers, including doctors and paramedical personnel, have been deployed in the Covid wing of the Sadar Hospital amid the increasing number of corona-infected persons in the state capital.

This year more medical staff is being deployed in comparison to the previous year where 17 specialists and 12 highly specialised doctors have been deployed.

In view of the continuous increase in the number of corona infections, a control room has been established in Sadar Hospital. From here, immediate help will be provided to the infected patients. The bed will be provided to the eligible person which is to be admitted by the screening team. The system is being established once again in the same way as it was established here during the second wave.

The third and fourth floors of the new building have been reserved for infected patients. On the third floor, 33 beds of ICU, 27 of PICU and 40 beds of HDU and 120 beds in the fourth floor have been arranged for patients.

As of January 3 total active cases in the district accounts for 2217. At present no patient is on a ventilator which is a big relief for the people of Jharkhand. The number of patients admitted because of Corona in Sadar Hospital is 13. In this 4 new patients have been admitted. Whereas 5 patients have returned home after recovering today.
