Ranchi, Nov 10: With the advent of winters, several schools in Ranchi have changed their school timings, while several others plan to change it after November 14.
Around 15 schools including DPS Ranchi, St Xaviers, Sharda Global, Loyola Convent among others have moved the reporting time up by half to one hour. School officials in several schools in this regards have said, “The change in weather and the beginning of the winter season are times when children are reported sick by most parents. This is why the decision was taken to change the reporting time.”
On the other hand, schools including JVM Shyamali, Manan Vidya School plant to change the timing from and after November 14. School officials at JVM, while addressing the issue have said, “We plan to change the reporting time from November 14. Classes will begin from 8 am instead of 7 am.”
Meanwhile, Manan Vidya School will change its timing from November 15. Cambrian Public School is set to change the time from November 16, while St Michael’s plans to change the schedule next week.
Schools have also instructed children and their parents to switch to winter uniforms, keeping in mind the changing weather.
Schools that have already changed reporting time include Delhi Public School (6:55 to 7:55), Sharda Global Senior (6:30 to 7:15), Sharda Global Senior (9:00 to 9:45), DAV Alok (7:00 to 8:00), St Columbus, Chutiya (8:00 to 9:00), St Xavier’s Junior (8:00 to 8:30), St Xavier’s Senior (7:00 to 7:30), Star International (8:00 to 8:30), Loyola Convent (7:00 to 7:30), Vidya Vikas Public School (7:15 to 8:15), Oxford School (7:00 to 7:30), Sarla Birla Senior (6:40-7:00), Sarla Birla Junior (8:55 to 9:15), Bridgeford Tupudana Senior (6:50 to 7:50), and Bridgeford Tupudana Junior (8:30 to 9:00).
