Ranchi, Aug 20: The excise department team raided the bases of illegal liquor traders located in Tatisilwai, Kanke and Jagannathpur police station areas. In this sequence, the excise department arrested six people involved in the business of illegal liquor. The team recovered 600 litres of illegal liquor, 12000 kg of Java Mahua, 243 litres of foreign liquor, a large number of court caps and empty bottles of foreign liquor.
The excise department team raided Horhap of the Tatisilwai police station area. One person was arrested here. Absconding charges have been registered against four accused in Horhap. In this sequence, a raid was conducted in ITBP Ring Road of Kanke police station area in which two accused were arrested. Based on their statement, a raid was conducted at Shahu Hotel located on ITBP Ring Road.
A similar raid was also carried out in Premnagar Singh Mod located in the Jagannathpur police station area. An accused was arrested here. On the statement of this accused, a raid was conducted in Road No. 2 Bosco Nagar of Jagannathpur police station area. Here also the accused was caught.
