Ranchi, April 20: The plan to connect Ranchi Smart City to Hatia station, which is being built on 656 acres of land in Dhurwa, has stuck due to the disagreement of the Corporation on the proposal sent by the Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) to Smart City Corporation for NOC.
RLDA has sought permission to use the smart city road and land for railways. The Corporation objected to this and returned the proposal.
Ranchi Smart City GM Rakesh Nandkeolyar said that there were many errors in the proposal from RLDA, so the corporation has returned it and asked to rectify it.
After the consent of the Corporation and RLDA to provide smart facilities to the people living in the smart city, a plan was made to develop Hatia station as the main junction of the smart city.
A proposal was made to open the gate on the south side of the Hatia railway station and connect it with the road of Smart City and prepare two more platforms. Apart from this, an agreement was also reached to increase the public facilities at Hatia station.
After this, the corporation started developing the area from Smart City to Hatia Railway Yard to the station. Many times there was correspondence between RLDA and Corporation, but now after the proposal sent by RLDA regarding NOC, the matter is stuck.
After the posting of a new officer as Ranchi DRM, there has been no meeting between Smart City and Railways regarding this matter.
Present DRM of Ranchi Rail Division Pradeep Gupta said that he has no information about this. If the Ranchi Smart City Corporation wants to connect the smart city with Hatia station then they have to contribute to the amount spent on the development.
According to the CEO of Ranchi Smart City Corporation Limited Amit Kumar, the work of connecting Smart City with Hatia station is going on. For this, a four-lane road has been made to Hatia station. There is also a plan to build an underpass under the railway track to connect Hatia station with the smart city in a better way.
The work of integrated infrastructure in the ADB area of Ranchi Smart City is almost complete. Out of 51 plots of land, 11 plots have been auctioned in three phases.
In view of the problems being faced by the land auction, there is also a preparation to change the master plan. In the ADB area, 11 bungalows are being built for the ministers of the state. Houses will also be built for MLAs.
The corporation has planned to develop the smart city as an education hub. Dozens of big educational institutions will open here in the coming days. In such a situation, apart from Jharkhand, hundreds of students from other states of the country will also come here. Connecting Hatia station to Smart City will not only facilitate the students but will also benefit other people living in Smart City.
