Ranchi, April 26: Students of Class X and XII of both CBSE and ICSE boards appeared for offline board exams after almost two years on Tuesday.
While some were excited, many were nervous about appearing for the offline exam after a long time. Some even wished the exams were postponed due to increasing numbers of Covid cases, even though it may take some time for cases in Ranchi to increase.
Students of class 10 of Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination took the English paper, while those of class 10 of Central Board of Secondary Education sat for Painting. Meanwhile, students of class 12 of CBSE took the Entrepreneurship and Beauty & Wellness paper, while those of ISC took the paper of the English language.
The students said they found the paper easy and not lengthy. Anjali Yadav, an ICSE board student while coming out of the examination centre said, “The paper was doable and questions were easy. It was also not lengthy.”
Similarly, Prashant of class 12 of the CBSE board said, “The ETP paper was very simple. It was not at all long. I was initially scared, but while solving the paper, I realized, I knew almost all the answers.”
The English exam for ICSE was of 1.5 hours duration, from 11 am to 12:30 am, while the one for ISC was from 1 pm to 3:30 pm. Meanwhile, timings for candidates of CBSE from classes 10 and 12 were similar, i.e. from 10 am to 12:30 pm.
Students reached examination centres half an hour before the exam and produced the vaccination certificate at the exam centre, even though certificates were not deemed necessary. As per students that were coming out of the exam centres, Covid guidelines issued by the state were followed at all centres.
