Ranchi, Sept.16: Patrakar Kala Manch (PKM), a registered body of journalists, will hold its first edition of cooking contest in Ranchi in association with Genista INN Hotel and Engine Oil on September 17. The contest will be held at Genista INN Hotel.

The event is part of the outfit’s continuous endeavours to provide a platform for scribes as well as their family members in the city to showcase their untapped talents through different activities, office bearers said on Friday.

Titled as Kitchen Queen, the event is open for members of the media fraternity, their family members or those recommended by them as well as students from the mass communication department across different colleges.

The event is unique in many ways. While different media organizations have organized such events in the past as part of brand building and reader engagement exercise, this event is by the journalists, for the journalist and media fraternity.

The entire enrolment process is made online to ensure transparency. An applicant has to pay a registration amount online, and send their details on our Whatsapp no (8084956600).

Participants will have to come with their proposed dish prepared at home. They will be provided some time for garnishing and readying their displays at the spot.

A three member expert jury will undertake a tasting ceremony of all the dishes to evaluate the winners.
