Ranchi University: CSC India organises workshop on Vocational Education and Short Term Courses at IMS

Ranchi, Jan 16: A one-day workshop on Vocational Education and Short Term Courses was organised under the aegis of the Common Service Centre (CSC) on the campus of the Institute of Management Studies (IMS).

CSC State Head Shambhu Kumar gave detailed information about the CSC schemes and courses provided under it. G2G Service Head of CSC Dr Vignesh Soornamohan shared information about various services of CSC. Rishikesh Patnakar (Skill and COO of CAC Academy) explained the importance of vocational courses and short-term courses being provided through CSC.

Project Manager of IBM Skills Aarti Shukla and EduNet Foundation’s Kush Tripathi further informed students about new vocational courses like data analysis and shared how new job opportunities can be obtained.

Tanveer Singh from IIT Bombay informed the students about the IIT Bombay Spoken Tutorial being run through CSC. Microsoft Project Manager Suman De and Business Manager Meeta Manchanda talked about the Microsoft certification programmes.

IMS Ranchi Director Dr V S Tiwari presided over the workshop and while addressing the students said that they should take initiative to enhance their skills through CSC courses. He further urged that the courses would be useful for their skill development. Several students including IMS teachers were present at the workshop.

Earlier, under the leadership of RU VC Dr Ajit Kumar Sinha, an MoU was signed with CSC India for the promotion of Digital India, and the conduction of various vocational and short-term courses for the benefit of the students.

Officials present at the workshop included G2 Service Head Dr Vignesh Sornamohan, Jharkhand Head Shambhu Kumar, Director of IMS Ranchi University VS Tiwari, Skill on Virtual Mode and COO of CSC Academy Rishikesh Patnakar, IBM Project Manager (Skills) Aarti Shukla, Tanveer Singh from IIT Bombay, Microsoft Project Manager Suman De, Business Manager Meeta Manchanda among others.
