Ranchi, Jan 28: With cleared skies, the minimum temperature of the capital city has dropped by five degrees. Abhishek Anand, scientist at the India Meteorological Department, on Friday said that cold waves are to prevail in the state for a couple days more. A similar situation is likely to remain for the next three to four days.
After January 31, there is a possibility that the weather will improve and the citizens might get relief from the cold.
Anand said that the citizens in the state will experience clear skies and sunny days for the next 3-4 days, after fog early in the morning. In the last 24 hours, Ranchi has recorded a maximum temperature of 20.2 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 7.4 degrees Celsius.
During this, Jamshedpur’s maximum and minimum temperatures were 23 degree and 13 degree respectively, whereas Daltonganj recorded a maximum temperature of 22.8 degree and minimum of 7.5 degree Celsius.
Anand further added that till January 31, the temperature will continue to drop. In the next 1-2 days, the mercury is likely to drop by 2-3 degree Celsius in the southern parts of the state as well. After February 1, however, the weather will be almost normal. However, at present there is no fortuity of rain in any part of the state.
