Ranchi, June 3: Ranchi girl Saumya Sinha has won the title of Mrs International Queen Dubai 2022. Saumya, the daughter of journalist S N Sahay initially worked as a marketing manager in Dubai, where she is based with her husband Sharad Sinha and two children Niall (6) and Naurishka (2).

Talking of her experience in the competition, she said, “I got to know about the competition that was to be organised by Pageant organizer ‘Naari by Srishti’ through a post on social media, and I registered. I was soon selected in the top 15 after a small audition. I was very nervous and didn’t have the confidence. I remember being worried and thinking about how I would answer a question, what if I fumble, or give the wrong answer.”

“We had some talent rounds and some sessions, and the final round was held in May this year. It was beautiful, and I initially couldn’t believe it,” she added.

When asked if she had ever thought of joining this line she said, “As a child, I’d spent a lot of time in front of the mirror, getting dressed, sometimes, putting on makeup. I remember when I was 11, Priyanka Chopra was crowned Miss World, I’d even give fake speeches in front of the mirror. I think that’s the point in my life where I knew I liked it all.”

“I think, I always kept performances a part of my life. Even in college, I’d be the first one to register for dance competitions or performances. At festivals, I’d make a group of friends and choreograph dance numbers for the occasions.

She further added that people would come up to her and suggest that she do something as she is this talented. Even her husband would support her and suggest she keep performing an important part of her life. She further also appreciated the support of her parents and in-laws alike, who have supported her throughout her journey, and is hopeful for her future as she bats a few offers for films. At present, she is working on a film by Shubhra Goel  and Icatchfilms.
