Ranchi, Nov 2: Archana Kumari, an international yoga player from Ranchi, was honoured with a doctorate degree by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla at the convocation ceremony of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (Gayatri Kunj, Shantikunj, Haridwar, Uttarakhand).
The convocation ceremony was held on November 1 on the campus of the university. Chancellor Dr Pranav Pandya, and Dr Shailbala Pandya (President All World Gayatri Parivar) were present at the function.
Dr Archana Kumari presented her research on title “A Study of the Effect of the Yogic Intervention on Emotional Intelligence among College Going Students”. She completed her research work under the direction of Dr Kamta Prasad Sahu, Associate Professor of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (Gayatri Kunj, Shantikunj, Haridwar, Uttarakhand).
Dr Archana is currently working as a Yoga Instructor in the Department of AYUSH, Government of Jharkhand. Apart from this, she has been a winner of many national and international medals in the field of yoga. Due to her achievements in the field of Yoga, she has been honoured many times by Jharkhand Governor, Chief Minister, MP etc.
She has written two books on yoga – “Yoga – Ek Drishti Mein” (in 2019) and “Abhyasam – Preliminary Yoga Practice Order” (in 2021).
