Ranchi, Nov.5: Tell it the impact of the ED raid or bureaucratic failure or communication gap, registration of land and flats in the Jharkhand capital did not take place on the second consecutive day.
A short visit to the registration office at Kutchery suggested that sub-registrar Vibhavmani Tripathi remained absent while there was no one to execute registration work though as many as 20 properties were listed for registration.
“Saheb teen baje ke aas paas 10 minute ke liye aaye par koi registree nahi (sub registrar had come for 10 minutes around 3pm but registration work was not done). Sombar se kaam hoga (work will be done from Monday),” an official of the registration office said.
An agent, who helps people execute registration work, said absence of sub-registrar hit the income of all.
“It is expected from the administration to depute someone in the absence of sub –registrar for registration as it not only helps the government earn revenue in the form of registration fee but also help common people like me earn something by helping people in getting the registration work properly,” the agent said.
Contacted the secretary of concerned department K.K.Soan to know whether the situation remained similar across the state, he expressed his ignorance saying the secretariat was closed today. On the matter of Ranchi, he suggested contacting deputy commissioner (DC) Rahul Kumar Sinha.
Contacted DC Sinha, he admitted the situation saying he is going to issue an official order today following which man next to the sub-registrar will automatically take charge of registration work in case of absence of sub-registrar and thus from Monday the registration work will be done smoothly.
The registration work in the state has always remained a matter of concern for the people and government in the state. It is said that it is difficult to execute registration work without transaction of illegal money.
On Friday, the ED team had questioned Tripathi in connection with a matter of sale and purchase of army land at his residence in Bariatu. Due to which, on Friday registration work could not be possible though as many as 23 deeds were expected to be registered.
