Ranchi: A comprehensive review meeting of the Revenue Department was held in Ranchi on Monday under the chairmanship of the Deputy Administrator, with a focus on meeting the tax collection target set for the financial year 2024–25. The session included in-depth discussions on current challenges, collection strategies, and administrative measures to strengthen revenue performance.
During the meeting, the Deputy Administrator urged the revenue officials and staff to accelerate tax collection and adopt effective strategies to ensure timely achievement of fiscal goals. Clear instructions were issued to work actively within their designated areas and to streamline the recovery process.
The meeting was attended by the Assistant Administrator, tax collectors, revenue inspectors, and other department personnel. Officials discussed obstacles currently affecting tax recovery and offered various suggestions to improve efficiency.
The Deputy Administrator emphasized the importance of issuing timely notices to taxpayers, simplifying the tax payment process, and taking strong steps to recover outstanding dues. Strengthening the operational framework of the revenue branch was highlighted as a key priority to facilitate smooth attainment of financial targets.
