Daltonganj, June 15: The much-awaited results of the entrance tests of two govt schools of excellence in Daltonganj, due to be released today, have been deferred by another couple of days from now.
District Education Officer (DEO) cum District Programme Manager Anil Kumar Choudhury said, “Work on the revised results could not be completed and hence it is deferred for a few more days from now.”
He refrained from giving the exact date of the release of the revised results.
The deferment to the revised results has not only caused resentment among the students, guardians and parents but it has also triggered suspicions about the neutrality of the revised results.
A guardian of a girl student trying luck for admission in class 9 at the KG Girls High School in Daltonganj said, “The picture has been created as if the revised result is of the public service commission. Rampant corruption in the education department and nepotism are the major factors behind not meeting the deadline for the revised results on June 15.”
Results of the two schools of excellence namely Zila School and the KG Girls High School having 480 and 240 seats respectively were scrapped earlier on complaints about improper adherence to the reservation roster besides allegations against fudging of the marks.
