Ranchi: The Jharkhand government has demonstrated remarkable success under the Right to Service initiative, with 96.32% of all applied services being delivered effectively. A total of 16,415 applications were received, out of which 15,812 services were delivered to citizens.
Out of the delivered services, 14,122 were provided on time, while 1,791 were delivered with delays. Meanwhile, 101 applications were rejected, mostly related to seed shops, fertilizer shops, and pesticide-related licenses. As of now, 699 applications remain pending, and 17 are currently on hold.
Breakdown of applications across various services:
Transport Services: Temporary vehicle registration (523), driving licence (350), vehicle fitness certificate (14), international driving licence (12)
Citizen Services: Holding tax (615), birth certificates (188), caste certificates (22)
Commercial Services: Retail seed shop license (192), fertilizer retail shop (170), petrol pump licence renewal (94)
Other Services: Post-mortem reports (13,566), electricity LT connections (26)
Rejected Applications (By Service):
Seed shop (9), fertilizer shop (39), pesticides (27), social security schemes (1), electricity bill correction (1)
The government considers this high percentage of timely service delivery a major administrative achievement, contributing to increased transparency and citizen trust.
