RIMS director counts achievement of one year

Ranchi, Nov.20: RIMS director Dr Kameshwar Prasad counted the achievement of the only state-run super-speciality hospital from November 2020 to October 2021.

The list of achievements included the appointment of new faculties and senior residents in the various department for proper patient care, purchase of a license for Webex platform to streamline the conduct of online classes during the pandemic, recruitment of four research scientists and seven lab technicians dedicated for Covid-19 testing on contract, two state of the art Echo machines installed for diagnosing various cardiac diseases and research works besides expansion of legal cell and many more others.

Deputy Superintendent Dr Shailesh Tripathi present on the occasion said that a hospital information management system is being developed in the institute and shortage of manpower is being removed. He said that 30-bed central emergency service has been started at a new trauma centre after the Covid centre did not remain Covid centre.

It was informed that the responsibility of running the hospital will be on the chief medical officer and responsibilities will be fixed in case of any negligence in medical treatment. Apart from this, it was also informed that resident doctors, medical staff and nurses will be trained at AIIMS and big hospitals under an exchange programme.
