Ranchi: RIMS management has clarified the reasons behind delays in patient registration, explaining that the hospital has migrated from the old NIC NestGen platform to the new C-DAC e-SUSHRUT platform as part of efforts to improve patient services. Technical issues during the transition affected registration, editing, and billing processes.

What Has Been Done

Management said the necessary technical updates to address the new platform’s slow performance have been carried out, significantly improving system efficiency. A team of engineers continues to work on resolving remaining minor technical issues. Offline registration has also been kept operational as a backup to ensure patients are not inconvenienced during the transition period.

What the New System Will Offer

The e-SUSHRUT platform is being implemented under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission and is linked to the ABHA portal, allowing patients to access their digital health records from anywhere. Once fully operational, patients will be able to download lab reports, e-prescriptions, and other medical documents online. Future features will include online OPD registration, doctor appointments, and online payments.
