RIMS medical board to seek physiatrist help to assess mental status of CM’s aide Pankaj Mishra

Ranchi, Aug.2: The RIMS medical board has planned to take help of a psychiatrist to plan further course of treatment of CM Hemant Soren’s MLA representative Pankaj Mishra admitted on July 29 at the RIMS trauma centre after being caught by the ED on charges of money laundering.

The medical board, which took the decision, comprised head of surgery department Dr. Sheetal Malua as its chairman while head of medicine department Dr. Vidyapati, head of department of critical care Dr. Pradeep Bhattacharya and treating Doctor Dr. Vinay Pratap as its members.

The decision was taken after it was observed that Mishra suffering from chronic pancreatitis, abdominal pain, BP and sugar problems is confusing doctors when asked about his problem. It was observed that sometimes he is referring to headache, sometimes chest pain, fever, stomach problems. The board also observed visible change in his behavior.
