RIMS to restart normal OPD operations from Monday

Ranchi, Jan 30: With the improving situation of Covid-19 in the state, the management at RIMS has issued an order to reverse back to its normal operation of OPD as before from Monday.

RIMS Public Relations Officer Dr DK Sinha said that during the Corona period many of the doctor-staff had turned Covid positive which had caused man power problem.  Along with this, corona infected were being treated in many departments of RIMS, hence the OPD system was changed.

In view of increasing infection of Corona and the doctor-staff of RIMS getting infected, the management had changed the system of OPD service.  In the first shift, 40 patients and in the second shift only 20 patients were being given medical consultation. i.e. a total of 60 patients were given medical consultation in a day. When the infection increased, the order was issued once again.  Under this order, only 40 patients were being given medical consultation in the OPD.

Patients not only from Jharkhand but also from neighboring states reach RIMS for treatment. The 1500 bedded super specialty hospital has many important departments including cardiology, nephrology, urology, critical care, neurosurgery, oncology.
