Ranchi, March 23: Former Bihar minister and MP Rabindra Kumar Rana, convicted in the fodder scam case, died in Delhi AIIMS on Wednesday during treatment.
Earlier in view of his serious condition, the doctors of RIMS had referred him to AIIMS for better treatment. Late on Tuesday night, RK Rana, who was undergoing treatment at the New Trauma Center in RIMS, was airlifted by air ambulance to Delhi AIIMS.
According to the doctors of RIMS, the level of infection in RK Rana’s liver had increased significantly and the stomach was getting filled with water again and again.
He was undergoing treatment under the supervision of Dr PK Bhattacharya, in charge of RIMS Critical Care. Rana had a multi-organ failure, that is, many parts of his body were not working. He had been treated on ventilator due to lack of oxygen.
