Ranchi, Feb.16: Rotary Ranchi Central has started a new project for facilitating free library membership to needy and willing students.
It has tied up with International Library & Cultural Centre (ILCC), Club Road, Ranchi for the initiative. ILCC provides a very good ambiance and atmosphere for students to sit and study at a central location. Books are available for students of all streams and over 100 students use the facility every day. Most of the students are preparing for competitive exams.
Rotary Ranchi Central has lined up with individual donors and is in discussions with some institutions also for donating library membership fees for needy students. Needy students are also being identified, who shall apply for such membership. Annual membership shall be provided to such students and they can avail the facilities of ILCC for one year. Needy students can apply on education.rotaryranchicentral@gmail.com or may contact Atul Gera on 9835127273 or Shivendra Mohan Sharma on 7050315210.
Members of Rotary Ranchi Central feel that it is a novel project in education and will benefit many students of Ranchi. To be able to study in a library with good facilities and an appropriate atmosphere is not available to many who stay in crowded places and have difficulty in purchasing many books. Donors will also be approached over time, to donate books to keep the library updated.
