Ramgarh: The RPF rescued five minors from a human trafficker at Barkakana Junction on Saturday. Also, a human trafficker has been arrested. According to information, all of them were travelling in a general bogie in the 18613 Ranchi-Chopan Express.
Barkakana RPF Post SI Amit Kumar, SI Smriti Rekha Dutta, Head Constable Rajkumar Sao and Anurag Raj received a clue that human traffickers were taking minor Santhali girls in the train. As soon as the train stopped at the platform number 3 at Barkakana Junction, everyone was rescued.
Four Santhali girls, three of them minors and a 19-year-old boy were present. Human trafficker Santosh Kumar Sah, age 45 years, belonging to Sahibganj district in Jharkhand has been arrested. He is currently being questioned.
Santhali minors rescued are Chandraya Murmu, Bahamuni Kisku, Sarojini Kisku, age 10 years, Majhali Kisku, 11 years old and Sanjhali Kisku, 11 years old. Here RPF has contacted Baidyanath Kumar of Child Rights Foundation Ranchi regarding Santhali minor girls.
According to sources, the trafficker and others had reached Badharwa from Muri by a passenger train. After this, all of them were travelling by taking a general ticket on Ranchi-Chopan Express from Muri to Daltonganj. FIR was registered in the GRP police station Barkakana on Sunday.
