Mumbai, April 6: After losing to Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals got a major blow as Australian all-rounder Nathan Coulter-Nile was ruled out for the rest of the season due to injury.

Coulter-Nile was a member of the Royals’ starting XI in their first match, which they won convincingly by 61 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Coulter-Nile was forced to leave the field before completing his four overs in the first match. Since then, he has not played, and Navdeep Saini has taken his place in Rajasthan’s next two matches against Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. While the nature of his injury is unknown, the team has stated that he will miss the remainder of the season.

He was bought by RR ahead of the IPL 2022 season for Rs 2 crore in the mega auction.
