RU affiliation committee instructs colleges to appoint teachers to maintain student-teacher ratio

Ranchi, Jan 8: The affiliation committee of Ranchi University on Saturday decided to appoint teachers in the respective subjects to maintain the student-teacher ratio, else the affiliation for the said subject would be cancelled.

The committee also decided on the prolongation of affiliation in several courses of several colleges of the University. It also said, in case of prolongation of affiliation, it should be given for two sessions i.e. session 2022-25 and 2023-26 for UG course and for session 2022-24 and 2023-25 for PG course.

Further, the committee instructed the colleges to have a well-equipped laboratory in practical subjects, otherwise, the affiliation will not be considered from the next session. Subjects of new affiliation were recommended for only one session. The meeting was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor Dr Kamini Kumar.

All the Deans in the meeting including Dr Kunul Qandir, Dr Sudesh Sahu, Dr TN Sahu, DSW Dr RK Sharma, CCDC Dr Rajesh Kumar, Dr Pritam Kumar, Dr Jagdish Mahto, A R Dr Rajiv Singh along with Abdul Bari were present. The meeting was conducted by Registrar Dr Mukund Chandra Mehta.
