Ramgarh, Dec 21: Over 100 students on their way to Ranchi from Hazaribag created a ruckus on Wednesday against the recruitment policy of the Hemant Soren government at Mandu under Ramgarh district. When the police stopped the students, who were in buses, they created a ruckus on NH 33 near the Mandu police station gate of Ramgarh district.
The students raised slogans against the state government and blocked the NH for around two hours which caused a long queue of vehicles to form on both sides of the road.
Notably, the students were going from Hazaribag to gherao the state assembly in Ranchi to protest against the state government after the Jharkhand High Court quashed the recruitment rules. As the situation went out of control, they were detained by the Mandu police.
After this, they started a ruckus on the road and sat on the dharna in the middle of the road, disturbing the vehicular movement. The students said that the government only makes hollow claims and no policy is concrete due to which the students are unemployed and are getting misguided. The angry students also said that the government is asking educated youths to rear chickens, pigs and cows. It doesn’t deserve to be in power.
The Mandu police informed senior police officers about the uproar being created by the students on which SDPO Kishore Kumar Rajak, reached the spot. He released both buses after about 2 hours of persuading the students. All the students boarded the bus and left.
