Moscow, May 21: The war between Russia and Ukraine is going on since 24 February 2022. In the war going on for almost 15 months, Russia is continuously attacking Ukraine. During this, Russia has occupied many cities in Ukraine. Meanwhile, Russia’s Defense Ministry has claimed that it has captured the city of Bakhmut in Ukraine.

However, Ukraine has rejected this claim. Ukraine says that the war between Russia and Ukraine is still going on. The Ukrainian army is fighting with the Russian army for the city of Bakhmut. The cost that Russia and Ukraine had to pay in this war could not be disclosed. However, it is believed that thousands of people from both Russia and Ukraine have lost their lives in the city.

Fighting for control of this city in eastern Ukraine has been going on for eight months. Meanwhile, Russia’s Defense Ministry claims that the country’s private army ‘Wagner’ has captured the city of Bakhmut in Ukraine with the help of Russian soldiers.

After the occupation in eastern Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Wagner’s private army and the Russian army.

Notably, this ongoing struggle to capture the city of Bakhmut was the longest and probably the bloodiest battle in the war-torn country. Russian forces still have the daunting task of recapturing the rest of the Donetsk region under Ukrainian control.
