Jamshedpur, Jan 5: Passengers had a harrowing time on Wednesday due to the sudden cancellation of several trains under South Eastern Railway jurisdiction.
In view of a traffic-cum-power block in connection with third-line work between Kharagpur-Hijli in Kharagpur division, several trains were cancelled today.
The 12821 Howrah-Puri Dhauli Express was cancelled today while 12822 Puri-Howrah Dhauli Express leaving Puri on January 6 will remain cancelled.
The 08071 Kharagpur-Tatanagar Passenger Special also remained cancelled today
The 08072 Tatanagar-Kharagpur Passenger Special also remained cancelled.
Several trains were rescheduled.
The 12703 Howrah-Secunderabad Falaknuma Express was rescheduled to leave Howrah at 2 pm instead of 8.35 am today.
The 18045 Shalimar-Hyderabad East Coast Express has been rescheduled to leave Shalimar at 12.10 pm instead of 11.25 am on Wednesday.
The 12245 Howrah-Yesvantpur Duronto Express has been rescheduled to leave Howrah at 1.50 pm instead of 10.50 am on Wednesday.
The 22849 Shalimar-Secunderabad Express has been rescheduled to leave Shalimar at 2.30 pm instead of 12.20 pm.
The 08159 Kharagpur-Tatanagar Passenger Special has been rescheduled to leave Kharagpur at 4.15 pm instead of 3.25 pm today.
The 22891 Howrah-Ranchi Express has been rescheduled to leave Howrah at 2.20 pm instead of 12.50 pm today because of the block taken for the new third line project.
