Ranchi, Feb 19: Aniruddha Prasad Sah (78) was found lying unconscious with his throat slit outside the washroom of Sneh Sparsh Old Age Home under Jiravbari police station in Sahebganj district on Sunday.
Shah, a resident of Barhet Bazar, is staying in an old age home since May 1, 2022.
An elderly lady from the asylum noticed him lying in a pool of blood on Sunday morning. He has been admitted to Sadar Hospital for treatment. His condition is critical.
Police started a probe. The reason behind the incident is not clear so far.
Primary investigation suggests Shah has a soured relationship with his two daughters. One is staying in Kolkata and another staying in Baniyapur of Sahebganj district. The reason behind the soured relationship is the distribution of property as Shah wants to share his property in three parts making his sister one of the three partners.
Police is trying to ascertain whether it was the reason behind the incident or something else.
