New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the squad for the upcoming multi-format series between India Under-19 and Australia Under-19, set to begin in September. Among the players selected is Samit Dravid, the son of legendary Indian cricketer and former head coach Rahul Dravid. The 18-year-old has secured a place in both the red-ball and white-ball teams.
Samit Dravid, who recently played for Mysuru Warriors in the Maharaja T20 Trophy, will now represent India in the highly anticipated series against Australia. Although his performance in the Maharaja T20 Trophy was modest, with just 82 runs from seven innings at an average of 11.71 and a strike rate of 113.88, his inclusion in the U19 squad reflects his potential and pedigree.
