Ranchi, April 24: Senior legislator Saryu Roy demanded an FIR against state minister Banna Gupta for having a sex video chat on April 17 at midnight. He has demanded the seizure of Gupta’s mobile phone for a proper probe into the matter.

Roy also demanded security for the girl with whom Gupta talked, saying the girl works in a furniture shop in Jamshedpur and the shop is run by an old socialist leader who is presently with the BJP.

On Gupta saying that he had filed an FIR in this connection, Roy said in such an incident FIR is registered suo moto and the minister’s stand that he had registered an FIR is not reliable.

Roy turned a BJP rebel in 2019 assembly election and contested against the then chief minister Raghubar Das and defeated him in a direct contest. The assembly constituency in Jamshedpur which at present minister Gupta represents was earlier represented by Roy.
