Ranchi, Dec.21: Jamshedpur(East) MLA Saryu Roy brought a privilege motion against the government for giving misleading information to this house in the matter related to empanelment of private hospitals for the health insurance scheme.

Roy brought the motion as he today did not get satisfied with the reply of the health minister on the issue though he got a second opportunity for the same. The first opportunity was given on December 17.

“It is the privilege of a legislator to get a proper reply from the government and the health minister in the house has accepted that the reply was misleading,” Roy said while pressing the speaker to accept his request to bring a privilege motion.

On which speaker Rabindanath Mahto warned the minister against repetition and suggested him to conduct a meeting with the senior officials of the department to ensure that such mistake does not take place in the future.

Though Roy was not satisfied with the mere warning and wanted the department minister to seek an apology but before he could pursue the matter further at 11.40am, the speaker adjourned the house till 12noon.

Earlier on December 17, Roy expressed his concern over the wrong reply from the government on the matter of empanelment of private hospitals for health insurance scheme and demanded the constitution of an assembly committee to probe the matter. On which he got assurance that he will get a proper reply on Tuesday in the current session.
