New Delhi, March 12: A day after Saanvi Malu, the second wife of businessman and Kuber Group Director Vikas Malu, wrote a letter to the Delhi Police Commissioner accusing her husband of being involved in the death of veteran actor Satish Kaushik, the police have started investigating the matter.
Police said Saanvi’s complaint about the foul play was lodged with the Southwest District Police and an inspector-level officer.
As per information, police will soon call the woman to record her statement regarding the allegations.
In the letter, Saanvi alleged that the actor had loaned her husband Rs 15 crore and met him abroad once to get his money back.
She further claimed that the two had a heated argument, and Vikas promised to return the money to Kaushik.
Saanvi said that the actor had fallen ill at her husband’s farmhouse, and she suspected that Vikas could have poisoned him to get out of returning the money.
Meanwhile, police have ruled out foul play in Satish Kaushik’s death and the autopsy report suggests the actor died of a heart attack. Kaushik’s family has also made no allegations so far.
Last year, Saanvi Malu accused her husband, Vikas Malu, of raping her.
This comes after Delhi Police searched the farmhouse in Southwest Delhi where the party was organised and recovered some medicines. The medicines have been sent for examination and the report is yet to come. Although, no banned medicine has been found, however, it is being ascertained which salts were found in the medicine.
Notably, Satish Kaushik passed away at the age of 67 on March 9 . He was at Malu’s farmhouse in Delhi when he complained of uneasiness and was rushed to the hospital.
