The bank has asked its account holders to link PAN with Aadhaar card before September 30. If customers do not do this then they may face trouble in enjoying banking services.
PAN can be linked with Aadhaar by September 30
SBI has given this information on its official website. SBI asked its customers to link their PAN with Aadhaar to avoid any inconvenience and continue to enjoy a seamless banking service. The bank said that it is mandatory to link PAN with Aadhaar. If PAN and Aadhaar are not linked, PAN will become inactive. The last date for linking PAN with Aadhaar is 30 September 2021.
Deadline extended for the third time
Let us inform that only last month, in view of the epidemic, the Central Government had extended the deadline for linking PAN with Aadhaar till September 30. Earlier this deadline was set as March 31. But later it was revised to 30 June.
How to link PAN with Aadhaar
first way
- First of all go to the official website of Income Tax https://www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/home.
- In this site, click on the option of Link Aadhaar on the left side. A new page will open, where you have to fill PAN, AADHAAR and your name as mentioned in Aadhaar.
- If you have only year of birth in your Aadhar card, then tick ‘I have only year of birth in aadhaar card’.
- Enter the captcha code or click on the Tick for OTP link Aadhaar button.
- Just your PAN is linked with Aadhar.
Another way
- You can also link PAN and Aadhaar through SMS.
- In the message box of the mobile, type – UIDPAN<12-digit Aadhaar><10-digit PAN>.
- Send this message to 567678 or 56161.
- Just your Aadhaar will be linked with PAN.
