Bermo: A young man named Bhola Pandit, a resident of Ramgarh, drowned in water while taking a bath in the Damodar river at Tenughat in Bokaro district. It is said that other accomplices who were taking a bath with him tried to save him, but they failed. Bhola got absorbed in the deep water.
Bhola was trapped in the vortex of water
According to eyewitnesses, he was taking a bath in the river with his friends towards the Causeway Bridge Balughat of Tenughat Dam. In this sequence, they got trapped in the strong flow of water and the swirling vortex and drowned. Bhola’s friend Pawan Kumar told that he is a resident of Ramgarh. They all came to visit. At the same time, in this regard, Tenughat OP in-charge KK Chaudhary said that as soon as the information is received, the body is being searched with the help of local fishermen and divers by closing the gate of the dam first. The police team reached the spot along with the force and is investigating with the help of the local people.
Two gates of the dam were open
It is said that two gates of Tenughat Dam were open at the time of the incident. Pawan, the boy who came to visit with Bhola, told that all of them reached Tenughat Dam while roaming in other places including Chhacharia of Lalpaniya. In this sequence, everyone started bathing on Damodar river. In the course of bathing, the depth in the water could not be ascertained and the innocent Pandit got trapped in the strong current and vortex. Bhola was accompanied by Pawan Kumar, Arvind, Anjit, Chhotu, Sonu and Gautam. All friends had come to visit Ramgarh. The diving team is engaged in search of Bhola.
