Kanker, May 21: In a joint operation by police and security forces in the Kanker district of Chhattisgarh, three hardcore Naxals were captured, the police reported on Sunday.
Three Naxals were arrested in a joint operation by the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and Border Security Force (BSF), according to Superintendent of Police Shalabh Kumar Sinha.
“Of the three arrested Naxals, two carry a reward of Rs 8 lakh each on their arrest,” he said.
He said that there is still more investigation going on.
In an earlier encounter in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district on May 8, security forces killed two cadres, including a Local Operation Squad (LOS) commander carrying an 8 lakh rupee cash prize.
