Ramgarh, Nov 16: On the occasion of National Press Day, a seminar on “The Role of Media in Nation Building” was organized in the District Collectorate under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Ramgarh Madhavi Mishra on Wednesday.
Deputy Commissioner Madhavi Mishra while congratulating media representatives/ journalists from various institutions of the district on National Press Day, said that the way journalists have contributed in getting freedom to the country and taking the country forward after the independence of the country is commendable.
There were many other freedom fighters including Raja Ram Mohan Roy who were associated with the field of journalism in the past. In today’s era, when various means are available to reach the people, then the responsibility of all of you journalists becomes even bigger that how Any news should be presented in such a way that it can contribute to the development of the society and the country. Along with being the fourth pillar, you all do your work independently, so it is even more important that the news is presented with facts in a transparent manner. On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner gave best wishes to all the journalists for contributing in the development of the country by taking inspiration from the famous journalists of the country.
During the seminar, Deputy Development Commissioner Nagendra Kumar Sinha while congratulating everyone on National Press Day said that your contribution in strengthening the democratic system is very important. Whatever work is done by you directly or indirectly proves to be very effective in the development of the society. Many a times, when the problems of the people from remote areas are raised by you, the district administration immediately takes cognizance of them and gets them executed. This kind of work is commendable and it shows that you all understand your responsibility and are working for the development of the society and the country.
District Public Relations Officer Dr. Aseem Kumar congratulated all the journalists on National Press Day and appreciated the work being done by them, while he appealed to all journalists to contribute in the development of the country and society.
