The minister has further demanded that the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Income Tax (IT) and Central Investigation Agency (CBI) pay more attention to it.
According to the information, dozens of coal mines of ECL are lying closed in the Nala police station area of Jamtara. Coal is smuggled through illegal mining from these closed mines. Illegal business of coal is going on in Khadamati, Patharghata, Barkudi, Chichurbil, Maheshmunda and Sultanpur, and Rangasola of Karmatand Bindapur police station area of the region.
Sources have further claimed that coal is first loaded on cycles and motorcycles and dumped at one place. Then late at night, illegal coal is made by installing JCB and loader, after which coal is loaded. Finally, coal is sent through trucks to Bihar via Deoghar.
