Jamshedpur, May 17: The wait finally comes to an end.
South Eastern Railway (SER) announced the introduction of 22895/22896 Howrah-Puri-Howrah Vande Bharat Express, the inaugural run of which will take place on May 18 (Thursday) from Puri.
The regular run of this high-speed train will commence from May 20 both from Howrah and Puri. The train will run six days a week, except Thursdays.
This is the first Vande Bharat Express which will run under the jurisdiction of South Eastern Railway.
The 22895 Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express will depart from Howrah at 6.10 am and will reach Puri at 12.35 pm, the same day.
In the return direction, 22896 Puri-Howrah Vande Bharat Express will depart from Puri at 1.50 pm and will arrive in Howrah at 8.30 pm, the same day.
The train with sixteen coaches will stop at Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Khurda Road stations between Howrah and Puri.
Booking of passengers for 22895 Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express will be available through PRS ( Public Reservation System ) and internet from today (May 17), said a public relations officer at Garden Reach, the Kolkata- based headquarters of South Eastern Railway.
