Seven karate officials of Jharkhand become ISKK referee

Dhanbad, May 9: Seven karate officials of the state, including a  girl martial art player Mamta Pandey, qualified as International Shotokan Karate-Do Kyokai  (ISKK) referees in the national examination cum seminar held at Ranchi.

ISKK president Ranjeet Kesri giving this information today said that seven karate officials from Jharkhand had participated in Ranchi national examination cum seminar. On the basis of written examination and practical display, they have been declared qualified.

The officials who have been qualified as national referees are Manoj  Sharma and Suraj Verma ( Dhanbad), Jayaram Sharma and Uday Shankar Bharti ( Dumka), Kapil Rawani, Mamta Pandey and Rajesh Kumar Pandey ( Dhanbad).

Ranjit Kesri said four officials-Manoj Sharma, Suraj Verma, Jayaram Sharma and  Uday Shankar Bharti- have been promoted as ‘A’ grade national referees of ISKK while the other three have qualified as grade ‘B’ national referees.

“It is an outstanding achievement of the state that its seven officials have become national referees,” said Kesri.
